Do you do take-out??
New owners same family. . very dirty still no attention or care. My burrito was microwaved as was other two peoples dinner plate. Asked why microwaved said how its done in Mexico.. Wow no way and not fresh beans I bet are weeks old.. Also bathroom is unsanatiry This place is a far cry from authentic Mexican food. Microwave is not fresh food. Also clean and wash your walls it is filthy.. 8$ burrito thrown in the garbage gonna eat at lucys and not get sick..
MoreOne word: Authentic. In taste and style and decor.
Great carnitas. Great service.
Best chili verde I have had in a very long time!
Good place for pescadarians. Fish/shrimp may be added as the meat in many dishes. Some dishes are pretty spicy, which I like. Nice staff, good service. More of a sit-down place than a fast-food-to-go taqueria.
MoreThe food used to be amazing, with huge portions. This was my worst experience by far. Got it all to go, Ordered Mexican Dip ( somehow no chips , and the dip was split into 3 containers and the beans with cheese....was just a cold single glob....after a literally 8 block drive home) both chimichangas were luke warm and almost soggy. Probably won't go back for a long time....sad
MoreLow prices and decent portions. We had to get up to find our server to ask for napkins, more chips, boxes and check. The flavor of the food was not my preference. I like spice and heat and the food was mild and bland.
MoreI have enjoyed the times that I have both met the owner and delighted in their food. Each bite was better than the last. Have eaten in and also brought it home. Delicious.
MoreGreat hospitalityClean, inviting n GREAT FOOD..THANK YOU
Really like this little place. During events in town, such as Bass Defby and Festival, it is often the best deal in town.
MoreIf I could give no stars I would; letβs start off with they used watery caned chicken and pre made taco shells ... I ordered chicken tacos when I picked it up to take a bite the whole bottom fell off their food was sickening, my friend ordered the same thing 2 chicken tacos they literally used sour cream to glue half a shell to the other one taco and called it a day
MoreFood is OK. Can't give them a higher rating as it depends on who is cooking that day.
MoreFood was very good but might not be back. Constantly trying to keep flies away. Not good.
MoreGreat food and service
Great tasting authentic Latin fare. Family run local small business with great service and a friendly atmosphere. Would definitely recommend this place of you happen to be hungry in Rio Vista
MoreI base my Mexican food experience largely on the salsa offerings... I would say this place had mediocre food and pathetic salsa... I mean it was like Pace picante sauce, not like something made with love from a Mexican kitchen. I wanted to offer them some advice and possibly show them some much better versions of the stuff they were trying to pass off. Back to the drawing board on the salsa boys! Not even acceptable for a 7-11 type taco. Lol
MoreGood for a quick bite of decent Mexican. Nothing fancy but it definitely hits the spot
MoreGood food. Love the tacos, they are deep fried
Called in an order 30 minutes before I went over to pick it up. The owner answered the phone and took my order. Repeated it to me and hung up with no response as to how long it would be. I arrived 30 minutes later and my food had not been made nor my order given to the cook. The owner asked if I had called in an order to which I responded Yes I had. I asked if the food was done and she proceeded to tell me something unrelated to my order and then asked what my order was.20 minutes later I got my food. No apology, no comment on the fact that my order had not been completed when I arrived and no comment on the fact that she had hung up on me on the phone. This is not the first time this has happened here. Being one of the few restaurants in this town it would behoove the owners to pay attention to their customers. If you want decent Mexican food with better customer service Tortilla Flats is on the other side of 12 and worth the extra 2 minutes driving
MoreExceptional and yummy food, I like the ambience this place has, and the cashiers were friendly. Will definitely come back in the future.
MoreThe other Mexican restaurant here in town in my opinion has gone a little bit downhill I've been eating here for the past month or so and I have really enjoyed all the food I have eaten
MoreThe food was great. Did not eat in as it is a bit of a hole in the wall but very nice people and good food at a good price
MoreI have eaten a LOT of Mexican food in my life and know a good meal when I have one. This place is truly authentic and some of the best Mexican food Iβve ever had. The tortillas and salsas are homemade recipe wonders. The pozole is simple perfection. The tamales are as real as it gets. βMomβ works in the kitchen, taking just long enough for you to wonder where your food is at... and when it finally comes out, you realize that what took so long was the extra added ingredient called βloveβ.
MoreMy experience here has been great. I usually order the vegetarian burrito and love it. The waitress is very friendly and efficient. I also love the art they have on the ceiling. I'd totally come back here again when I'm craving a burrito.
MoreHave eaten here twice now and love it, will be back soon.
New owner, new attitude and the food and drinks are delicious. Definitely an authentic place.
MoreUse to give good servings and actually put meat on food. Something changed in last 6 months to where your lucky to get a tablespoon of meat and the rest is fillers, even when ordering all meat. Will be taking my business somewhere else.
MoreGood food. Good prices. Family owned and we'll worth every visit! Their chips and burritos are amazing!!
MoreWas horrible before and now it's just bad.
Down to earth relaxing place to enjoy Mexican food. Family owned.
Food was good. Service not so great. Felt like I was bothering them. Overcharged for items and just a frustrating experience. Have been here many times and am disappointed every time. Guess I should learn but keep hoping
MoreBest AUTHENTIC food in Rio Vista. Hands down. I have my menudo every weekend from the Taqueria, and I do NOT go anywhere else.
MoreExcellent food and extremely friendly service.Great folksiness atmosphere. Itβs about serving good food and not fancy restaurant cookie cutter chain restaurant commercialism. If you are going through Rio Vista itβs worth the stop.
MoreGood food, reasonable prices.
This place it awesome if you're thinking of going here... Do it. My only complaint is I didn't order myself another meal for later
MoreFantastic authentic food
This place has helped get me through this crazy time. Carnitas tacos are my favorite, the rice is amazing and the salsa verde is π₯.Thank you!
MoreGood food, enjoy the taco salad!
Good food at good prices
It's a very good little restaurant and the food is good. The prices are fair and reasonable. We would go there again.
MoreServe after 2 other groups came in. 1 of the group, it was obvious she knew and they were the 2nd group after us who got served first! Asked for butter for my tortillas never received them. When I asked her what happened with my request she said she had looked over and saw I was pretty much done. Though I got a box to go. Sad this still happens today.
MoreThe server was nice and that's about all that is good about this place. I ordered a super burrito and it was 95% beans. I counted 4 small pieces of meat. And it took 40 minutes to get the food. I'm not sure why everyone thinks the food is good. I've never been so disappointed in a restaurant.
MoreBad customer service and food
It's okay had better but the only Taqueria around
Family owned a operated. I had a combination plate: Shredded beef taco, Shredded beef enchilada, and cheese enchilada with rice. The food was delicious, and the staff was very friendly.I think its a start-up business because the owners are still in the process of interior decoration. I'll Be Back!!!!!
MoreHad lunch there this summer and had tomales. They were the best, they reminded me of my mothers when I was growing up. We liked them so much we ordered several dozen for our Christmas celebration and each one was so good. Don,t forget to pick up both the red and green sauce with them.
MoreOne of my favorite mexican places. Grandchild friendly too.
I never rate so low, but this place can be better. Pozole π² didn't have flavor, the burrito π― didn't have sour cream, they didn't asked if you like, the rice a beans πno good flavor, they could improve in taste and customer service, because it seems to be a family business. I could say more about the place but we left it there. I hope they improve.
MoreGood food.Good prices.
Such nice people! Family owned and run with a rich selection of wonderfully tastey Mexican cuisine. Don't expect fancy, just really good food, ice cold beer and friendly folks. A new favorite!
